I’ve been trying to explore niche edits as part of my link building strategy, but finding trustworthy providers has been harder than expected. A lot of services claim to offer placements on “aged, high-authority pages,” but it’s tough to verify what’s actually legit.
For those who’ve used niche edit providers, where do you usually find reliable ones? Do you go through agencies, freelancers, or direct outreach?
Also, how do you evaluate the quality of a niche edit before buying? Are there specific metrics or signs you always check (like organic traffic, relevance, link history, etc.)?
Would really appreciate hearing what’s been working for you and what to avoid.

yeah, I’ve been down the same rabbit hole with niche edits. The hard part is that a lot of services just throw around “aged, high-authority” without any proof. What’s worked for me is a mix: sometimes I go through small agencies that are transparent with examples, other times I reach out directly to site owners in my niche. Freelancers can be hit-or-miss, so I usually treat that as a trial first.

Testing niche edits for my own site was a bit of a nightmare at first because so many providers promised “high-authority” placements that didn’t hold up. After a few failed attempts, I learned to be selective and started to buy buy niche edits from verified sellers, which made a huge difference. What helped most was checking organic traffic, relevance to my content, and how naturally the link fit on the page. Once I focused on these signs instead of flashy claims, the results became much more consistent, and I stopped wasting time on shady or overhyped services.
