Hello all,

I am currently attending college and have free weekends. I am interested in participating in social work, so I would like to find Non Profit Organizations in India in my area that accept volunteers for skill-based positions rather than simply fundraising.

I have some experience with social media management and starting graphic design. What type of skills are most often needed and asked for by Non-Profits? Do most of these organizations request volunteers to perform field work?

For those of you who have previously volunteered, how would you suggest I contact organizations? Should I contact them via their websites/email, or look for specific volunteer websites? Any other suggestions on how I can get started would be great!
