I’ve seen different opinions on using LOD 350 for structural BIM models. Some project teams ask for it from the beginning, while others believe LOD 300 is enough unless the project has complex coordination requirements.

From your experience, is LOD 350 necessary for every structural BIM services project, or does it depend on the project scope and client requirements? Have you noticed clear benefits during coordination, fabrication, or clash detection when working with LOD 350? Or do you think it adds extra time and cost without providing much value on certain projects?

I’d be interested to hear how you decide the right Level of Detail for your structural BIM models and whether clients typically request LOD 350 or only use it for specific types of projects.
