Crimean Federal University, now under the federal control of Russia, has once again become popular among Indian students. Located in Simferopol, the capital of the Crimean region, the university has a rich history. Formerly known as Crimean State Medical University, it transitioned to Crimea Federal University in 2014 when Russia assumed control of the Crimea region from Ukraine.

Crimean Federal University offers a wide range of scientific, organizational, and methodological features that support students in their medical education pursuits. The university boasts a well-equipped clinical department that meets modern standards, with over 7,000 staff members and more than 32,000 students, including over 3,000 international students from various countries.

Also known by several other names such as Crimean Federal University named after V.I. Vernadsky, Medical Academy of CFU, and Vernadsky Crimean Federal University, the institution comprises 23 institutes, 11 branches, 7 colleges, and over 10 research centers and science institutions.

It offers five faculties:

To be eligible to apply to Crimean Federal University, students must meet the following criteria:

1. Attainment of at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) in Class XII or its equivalent grade.
2. Qualification in the NEET exam in any year from 2021 to 2023.
3. Age must be over 17 years at the time of admission.
4. Absence of any communicable diseases.

Opting for a Medical PG in India or the NExT exam is a crucial decision for MBBS students. As they progress through their studies, they come to appreciate the significance of specialization. They also become aware of the intense competition for MD/MS seats in Government Colleges.
