Among these, over 200 students from India have been pursuing their studies at the university for the past six years. While these numbers are relatively modest in comparison to other popular destinations for studying MBBS abroad among Indian students, individuals may consider exploring alternative options within a similar budget, such as pursuing MBBS in Bangladesh, MBBS in Egypt, MBBS in Kazakhstan, and more.
Azerbaijan MBBS Education System
The medical education system in Azerbaijan features a 6-year MBBS program, inclusive of clinical rotations integrated into the curriculum. Azerbaijan Medical University provides its MBBS program in three languages: English, Russian, and Azerbaijani. Students from Asian nations such as India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka typically choose the English-taught program, while those from Central Asian countries like Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan often opt for the Russian-taught program. Local students from Uzbekistan usually enroll in the Azerbaijan program. It’s worth noting that Azerbaijan does not adhere to the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), unlike countries such as Russia and Georgia.
