Overview:

Although established in 2011, the European University officially inaugurated its Faculty of Medicine in 2015. Situated in Tbilisi, the European University is a privately owned institution offering tertiary education. Moreover, it actively engages in collaborations with approximately 60 hospitals and medical schools in Georgia and other nations worldwide.

Formerly known as the European Teaching University Faculty of Medicine from 2015 to 2017, it boasts a teaching staff of over 150 members. Presently, the European University has assembled a distinguished workforce comprising professors, associate professors, assistant professors, and guest lecturers, all with extensive medical expertise.

Programs at the European University encompass various fields of study. The Faculty of Medicine, operating since 2014, conducts educational initiatives, including the One-Cycle Undergraduate Medical Education, specifically the Medical Doctor program (MD), available in both Georgian and English.

Furthermore, the European University accommodates three faculties:

1. The Faculty of Law, Education, Business, and Technology
2. The Faculty of Medicine
3. The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine

Accreditation and international recognition are key attributes of the European University in Georgia. Holding memberships with organizations like EAIE, AMSE, ADEE, among others, it collaborates with 54 universities across 23 countries. Accreditation has been granted by prestigious institutions such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the National Medical Commission (NMC), and the National Centre for Educational Quality Enhancement of Georgia (NCFEQE), among others.
