This private medical college of Nepal is relatively new. The College came into existence in 2014. At this point, 75 odd students enroll in MBBS every year. That number includes international students as well.
The Birat Medical College is affiliated to the Kathmandu University. In 2015, BMC established a teaching hospital which, at present, has 350 beds. This may indicate a robust patient inflow of a thousand per day.

The MBBS program here is 5.5 years long and it is an English-taught program. If you choose to do your MBBS from here, you will be eligible to appear in NEXT and eventually practice in India. BMC also features in the WDOMS which means you may pursue medical PG in USA/UK etc.

The MBBS curriculum closely resembles the one followed in India – 9 Semesters, each 6 months in duration, followed by a year of Internship.

The Birat Medical College teaching facility consists of 148 professionals and teaching staff in each department. The college has the usual 8 departments for Pre-Clinical Sciences and 13 for Clinical Sciences.

In essence, an IMG’s performance in the PLAB test is pivotal in determining their eligibility to practice medicine in the UK. The PLAB test comprises two stages.
