August 7, 2025 – Bedford, New Hamphsire— Touchstone Digital Solutions announces the launch of next-generation touchscreen software to replace the traditional plaques, trophies, and donor walls for recognitions observed in K–12, colleges, and universities. The cloud-native platform puts together decades of physical recognitions into rather interesting and interactive kiosks accessible from anywhere, on any device.

This release comes as schools wrestle with all the considerations of narrow hallways, old-fashioned display cases, and the growing need for digital engagement from their students and stakeholders. Touchstone addresses these concerns by digitizing championship games, academic honors, donor recognitions, historical archives, preservation of institutional heritage, and much more.

From a technical point of view, the software happens to be device-agnostic: content created just once in the intuitive content management system is wirelessly synchronized in real time from lobby kiosks to display monitors in gymnasiums, to tablets in admissions offices, and finally to the smartphones of alumni! And while protecting sensitive student and donor information with multifactor authentication and encryption compliant with SOC-2, the software also allows for role-based editing permissions so athletic departments, advancement offices, and alumni relations teams may update profiles without needing to submit an IT work order!

Amongst the platform’s many features are a real-time database capable of retrieving 100-plus years of photographs, videos, and records in milliseconds; a nimble, non-technical content management dashboard enabling updates to profiles and schedules within minutes; and synchronization across multiple devices to ensure that any content displayed on one lobby kiosk is also visible in real time on thousands of alumni smartphones in Tokyo or on donor tablets in Toronto.

Key features noted include:

Interactive Hall of Fame modules with 3-D rendering of trophies combined with highlight reels and searchable athlete biographies.

Digital donor recognition walls with impact stories, real-time, updates of scholarship funding meters, and geolocation of supporters.

Cloud-based school archives that can store and instantly retrieve yearbooks, historic photographs, and original school songs dating back to the founding of the institution.

Multi-location kiosk sync ensures that the same content is on every campus display and is updated simultaneously and automatically.

Initial reports from adopters show that there has been an increase in the participation of stakeholders and funding.  During the first semester, donor retention increased by 18 percent, and we saw a forty percent increase in the number of online alumni interactions, according to a spokesman for a large public school district that participated in the demonstration of the program.  The interactive donor wall not only expresses gratitude to contributors, but it also gives them the opportunity to watch scholarships being distributed in real time.

The modular architecture of the platform enables the creation of modules for Hall of Fame exhibits, digital donor recognitions, searchable school archives, athletic and academic centers, and synchronized multi-location kiosks. All of these modules are delivered through commercial-grade touchscreens that are designed to operate around the clock and are enhanced by enterprise-grade cybersecurity protocols.

The platform provides a measurable return on investment (ROI), in addition to providing engaging multimedia content. For example, schools are able to save wall space and areas that were previously occupied by trophy cases.  Schools and universities can save a substantial amount of money in the number of plaques and trophies that need to be engraved, mounted, and ultimately discarded by the team responsible for cleaning.

In order to deploy the system, the company states that there are three stages that must be taken: uploading assets through the use of drag-and-drop, configuring user roles and privacy settings, and installing commercial-grade touchscreen kiosks at strategic places on campus.  Ten working days is the typical amount of time required for the implementation process at a high school with 2,000 students, which includes training for the faculty.
