It’s my third trip to London, and honestly, I still believe that I haven’t explored it completely till now.
It’s my third trip to London, and honestly, I still believe that I haven’t explored it completely till now. London is a huge city, and there are so many activities you can do as a traveller. I still remember back then; I landed in London and spent the whole weekend meeting my friends there, without actually getting the time to explore the places I had marked.
Fortunately, my last trip was fantastic; I had the chance to see the charm, history, and hidden corners of the city. Since it’s my third trip to London, I believe I can write a beginner’s guide for you guys. My guide will help you feel less lost and more excited. So let’s break it down.
Before you start planning your London trip, you have to keep in mind that London doesn’t follow a neat, logical pattern. So, before going to any part of the city, make sure to book the Long Stay Parking Gatwick by Ezybook, cheap airport parking will save your vehicle while you are exploring the beauty of the city.
London is more like a web of villages, and most tourists prefer staying in zone 1.
In this zone, you will see Westminster, which feels royal and historic, and Shoreditch, which is edgy and artsy, and a very famous Hyde Park. I would recommend that you don’t jump to see everything in one day. You won’t and you should not.
The weather conditions were never bad in London. It can be grey, drizzly, but rarely severe, at least I never feel it is severe during my three visits to London. It is always recommended to dress in layers in London and carry an umbrella, as rain can sneak up on you.
There is no best time to visit London. It’s totally up to you, what kind of experience are you looking for? As I said earlier, the weather was never bad in London, so you can visit any time. But try to avoid the summer season if you hate crowded areas. I feel that September is the best month to visit London.
It’s not very expensive this month, plus you will experience cooler temperatures and fewer crowds. Winter is best for experiencing outdoor activities, and if you love visiting Christmas markets, then this is the time to visit London.
It might be tough for you to find the best accommodation for your first trip to London, and many people make the same mistakes while booking accommodation. I feel that rather than going with the vibes of the city, you should always prefer to book a hotel that is near the mass transit system.
You are here for traveling, not staying in one place. A hotel near a mass transit system will help you move faster to many places.
London is filled with amazing markets. Since I am a foodie, I would go for the Borough Market. Here you can see a variety of delicious food items. It is a newly revamped area of London.
You can also try the Seven Dials market for food, there are plenty of mini restaurants there, and it is pretty much affordable for tourists. Mexican burritos are the ones that you should not miss here.
And don’t forget to visit Brick Lane Market, which is a blend of food and clothing. Here you will see many food stalls alongside clothing.
There are plenty of food options you can try in London. This is not a paid promotion, that’s why I am not gonna list any restaurants here. But rather, I would suggest some very famous food items here.
Here you get a fried fish with chips. You know what? You will find fish and chips from almost every restaurant here. But the taste would be found in restaurants that are specifically selling fish and chips.
Apart from that, you should have an English breakfast, meat pie, sponge cake, and some international cuisines.
First-time travellers need to learn about London. This city has so much to offer. The weather is usually fine here, and it will not bother you. You need to pack some extra layers and keep an umbrella for the expected rain. Try to book accommodations near the mass transit areas.
